Signs
Las Vegas
Code-compliant ADA signage for Las Vegas businesses, hotels, offices, and commercial properties. Tactile room ID signs, Braille plaques, accessible parking signs, and full building ADA sign programs — fabricated and installed by Unique Signs.
Room ID Signs
Tactile signs with raised characters and Grade 2 Braille identifying permanent rooms and spaces. Required by ADA Standards for restrooms, offices, conference rooms, and all permanent interior spaces.
Restroom & Accessible Signs
ADA-compliant restroom identification signs with ISA (International Symbol of Accessibility) pictograms for accessible facilities. Required by code in all public-access commercial buildings.
Directional & Wayfinding
ADA-compliant directional sign systems for interior navigation. High-contrast, sans-serif typography with 70% minimum contrast ratio. Required mounting heights and placement specifications.
Accessible Parking Signs
Van-accessible and standard accessible parking signs meeting ADA, Clark County, and MUTCD requirements. Properly sized, height-mounted, and compliant with Nevada DOT specifications.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandates specific signage requirements in virtually every commercial building open to the public. Non-compliance exposes property owners and businesses to significant civil liability — including ADA lawsuits, which have increased substantially in Nevada over the past decade.
The core ADA sign requirement is for tactile identification signs on permanent rooms and spaces. These signs must have raised characters (minimum 1/32" height), Grade 2 Braille, a matte non-glare finish, and a minimum 70% contrast differential between text and background.
Mounting location is just as regulated as the sign itself. ADA room identification signs must be mounted on the latch side of the door, with the sign centerline at exactly 60 inches above the finished floor — and positioned so that a person can stand within 3 inches of the sign without standing in the door swing arc.
Las Vegas properties face a heightened compliance environment due to the volume of out-of-state visitors. Hotels, casinos, convention centers, retail centers, medical facilities, and office buildings are all active compliance targets. A single complaint can trigger an investigation of the entire property.
Proactive compliance is dramatically less expensive than reactive. A full ADA sign audit and replacement program for a mid-size office building typically runs $1,000–$5,000 — a fraction of the cost of a single ADA lawsuit settlement, which can reach $10,000–$50,000 plus legal fees.
Unique Signs provides complete building-wide ADA sign programs — audit, design, fabrication, and installation. We work directly with property managers, building owners, architects, and legal counsel to ensure every sign meets the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design and ANSI A117.1.

The ADA requires tactile signage (raised characters and Grade 2 Braille) on signs that identify permanent rooms and spaces: restrooms, office rooms, conference rooms, floor levels in stairwells, exit signs, and accessible parking. Directional signs have additional contrast and mounting requirements.
Grade 2 Braille (Contracted Braille) is the standard form used in the US. The ADA requires it on all tactile signs because contractions and abbreviations allow faster reading by experienced Braille users. All Unique Signs ADA plaques include properly positioned, cell-sized Grade 2 Braille dots.
ADA room ID signs must be mounted on the latch side of the door with the centerline at 60 inches above the floor. The sign must be within 3 inches of the door frame and clear of door swings. We provide compliant mounting diagrams with every ADA sign order.
Individual ADA room ID signs cost $40–$120 per sign depending on size and finish. Full building ADA programs range from $500 to several thousand dollars. Volume orders for multi-building properties receive discounted per-unit pricing.
